The 50 Best Books For Preschoolers – Lewisville Preschool & Educational Daycare

By Jody Geisel

Reading to your preschooler has many benefits. It exposes them to diverse content and rich language. Also, the first step to reading phonetically is phoneme awareness. Reading aloud to your child allows them to hear syllables, consonants and vowels. Reading to your preschooler is also a great way to connect. Reading together is family time, cuddle time, share time. When you are talking about a book together, it allows your child’s communication skills to become stronger. Ask your child questions about the story. Talk about what happened at the beginning, middle and end. Notice the illustrations. Compare the illustrations to another favorite book. You absolutely cannot read too much to your preschooler, so put down your phones and go have a reading adventure! Remember to get out your animated voice and have fun!

Here is a list of some favorite books. Happy Reading!
